News / Corrupt cops nabbed

Three policemen from Bishop Lavis were arrested recently on charges of corruption, Western Cape police said.

Warrant Officer November Filander said the officers were arrested when they reported for work.

“The investigating officer informed them of the allegations of theft, defeating the end of justice, dealing in drugs, perjury and extortion,” he said.

The two constables, aged 26 and 28, and a warrant officer, 48, will appear in the Bishop Lavis Magistrate's Court on Monday.
