The owner of a Cape Town supermarket where an ATM was bombed said she was left shocked by the incident.

An Absa ATM at a Spar in Parow was attacked during the early hours of Monday morning.

Robbers also fired several shots at a security guard.

It is one of several cash machine blasts which have occurred in Cape Town in recent weeks.

The store owner, Liana Geldenhuys commended police for their quick response.

“Needless to say they got away with the money. The response was awesome and no one was injured. Luckily.”
