EduRock arranges music events which showcase local bands. Fund raised by these events are then donated to preschools and ECD centres in need to aid in their upkeep so that the children of the area may have a fighting chance at a good education.

EduRock Events is a project run by a group of motivated people who are passionate about helping to improve the opportunities for preschool education in South Africa. The project was established in 2011 after the project manager, Gené Tatham, taught at a school at a school for unprivileged children. Here she noticed the giant need for preschool education in this country. Many underprivileged children go to grade 1 without the vital knowledge and confidence that a preschool education provides. As a result they often fail grade upon grade until they simply quit due to frustration. To solve this problem I turned to my love for music. Edu-Rock Events' goal is raise funds to help build and maintain schools so that every child in South Africa may have a fighting chance in life. In order to do this we arrange Edu-Rock events to promote local rock and metal bands.
