Western Cape Community Safety MEC Dan Plato on Sunday said police made arrests in connection with a series of ATM bombings in Cape Town.
In the past few weeks there have been at least five ATM bombings in Goodwood, Bellville, Wynberg and Delft.
Earlier this week, an Elsies River man was arrested for trying to break open a cash machine in Gordon's Bay.
It is believed a syndicate may be responsible.
Plato said police are making headway.
“The latest information is that the police have made some arrests. I do not have any names as yet,” he said.
