The City of Cape Town has called on residents to comment on its new Draft Tall building policy.
Capetonians will be able to review the policy during the month of March.
The city's Kylie Hatton on Friday said the draft seeked to create guidelines for any construction of new skyscrapers in the city.
“The Draft Tall building policy seeks to strike a balance between the needs for economic growth and investment and the city’s natural skyline.”
Hatton defined the type of buildings that will be reviewed in the draft.
“These buildings are defined as being significantly higher than their neighbouring buildings.”
She said the public will be able to view and provide comment on the draft at municipal buildings which include libraries and sub-council offices.
